Compared to rotary valves or dosing screws, the Dinnissen Feeder Valve has a much higher throughput. The compact hygienic design makes for a very low stack height, which helps to integrate the Feeder Valve in existing processing lines. Its simple construction minimizes product residue being left behind, allowing for quick and easy cleaning. It has been validated by leading producers with a wide range of products, including cocoa powder, sugars, whey powders, lactose premixes and infant formula.

How does the Feeder Valve work?

The Dinnissen Feeder Valve works by using a pneumatically controlled valve and a vibrating mechanism to precisely dose powders and granulates from a hopper into downstream equipment. The vibration activates product flow to ensure consistent material feed. A linear positioner with feedback control adjusts the valve opening with gram-level accuracy, enabling repeatable and hygienic dosing across a wide range of flow rates.

Your product quality depends on your dosing quality, as small deviations in ingredient quantities can lead to off-spec products. In some sectors, such as infant formula, slight inconsistencies can even lead to safety or legal issues. The Dinnissen Feeder Valve has been used for over 25 years in these strict production processes and has proven to be a reliable solution for these challenges.

Easy-to-clean hygienic design

The Feeder Valve is internally free of hollow bodies and bolted connections, allowing for complete cleanability and zero product retention. Constructed from polished 316 stainless steel and sealed with FDA-compliant NBR components, it fully complies with Hygienic Compact Containment (HCC) standards and EHEDG guidelines, making it ideal for high-hygiene production processes.
