What is the influence of the Froude number on mixing in a paddle mixer?

If the Froude number of 1 or slightly higher is reached, the product will be thrown upwards, so that it will mix optimally with other products that are thrown up. The name Pegasus Menger (the flying horse) is therefore derived from this short-lived weightlessness.

During the cast, the product is fluidized (pulled apart, slowly slides off the paddle). Due to the airiness the product falls mixed together. The fluidity of the product shortens the mixing time and reduces internal product friction. This fluidization area is the part where effective mixing takes place. This is also the area where the best liquids can be added.
