What are the pros and cons of a continuous mixer?

Advantages

  • Compact design for the same capacity compared to a batch mixer,
  • Cheaper than a batch mixer due to the smaller installation size.

 

Disadvantages

  • Constant product supply required,
  • Changing or adjusting a recipe briefly causes a deviation,
  • Process not easy to interrupt,
  • Often expensive and complex weighing and dosing systems are required.
