How can I take in product from bagged goods?

Bags can be cut manually or by machine.

Manual cutting of bags can take place on a specially equipped table with an integrated funnel into which the bagged goods are deposited. An ergonomic working posture for the employee is important to prevent physical complaints.

A bag dumping cabinet is ergonomically designed for manual cutting of bags. A bag dumping cabinet is available in different versions, depending on the application. The different options include: extraction without filter separator, extraction with filter separator, direct sieving after dumping, metal detector and a glovebox version. An extraction is used to prevent dust formation. This results in two benefits: protecting workers' health and reducing pollution of the production environment. It is possible to create an underpressure in the cabin / product space so that the dust remains in the bag dumping cabinet or is even sucked in.

Machine cutting of bags can take place via a discontinuous process or a continuous process. In a discontinuous process, the bags are supplied piece by piece. In a continuous process several bags are supplied at the same time.

In a discontinuous process, the bags are individually placed in a cabin. After closing the door, the machine performs the following process steps: cutting, emptying, ejecting product and bag separately and loading the next bag. This process is particularly suitable for harmful products. The advantages are a reliable cutting result with a high degree of emptying and a low risk of pieces of residual packaging with the pure product. A disadvantage is that the capacity is lower than with a continuous process.

In a continuous process, several bags are emptied by cutting them simultaneously, after which they end up in a sieve section. A rotating sieve basket separates the empty bags at the end and the product falls through the rotating basket into a collecting hopper. The advantage is that the capacity is much higher than with a discontinuous process. A disadvantage is that there is a chance of a lower emptying rate and the higher risk of residual packaging in the pure product.
